Mayor-KellerA MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR
Welcome Home! And thank you for visiting the Preston, Idaho website.

We consider the Preston Idaho Community to be, “A Great Place To Call Home”. Please allow me to explain:

Preston is an agricultural community located on the north end of the pristine Cache Valley touting views that are unique to new visitors to this Valley. Cache Valley is also known as “Bridgerland”, which was discovered and explored by the famous American mountain man Jim Bridger 200 years ago.

All throughout the year, Preston serves as an essential hub to the most rewarding family outdoor activities found in the Intermountain west. These activities include: snowmobiling in Strawberry Canyon and feeding the family at numerous local fast food restaurants before driving 15 minutes to the only ski resort in Cache Valley. Summer activities include riding ATV’s on over 500 miles of designated roads as well as fishing and/or waterskiing and boasting on over a dozen lakes and reservoirs in the immediate area. Numerous streams and rivers allow for big game or upland bird hunting, trails and designated campgrounds provide ideal and picturesque camping opportunities into the Cache and Caribou National Forests. Preston is geographically situated near the Bear River and is the only drainage in SE Idaho and Northern Utah where whitewater activities are available.

If you are in town the last week of July, you’ll want to attend the “Famous Preston Night Rodeo” a PRCA designated event and home to the 1st night rodeo in the United States.

From Preston, even on a cloudy day, you are able to see the southernmost mountains at the south end of the valley. The view is so clear on summer nights that the serene lights from the Logan Temple can only be trumped by the plethora of celestial stars that watch over the City of Preston and the lower end of the valley.

Preston is Home to multiple light industries and we are proud to have a stable and sustainable medical system which includes a recently completed 15,000 square foot surgical center. Preston High School has a long history of academic excellence and multiple State Championships in sporting and cultural events.

We are excited to proclaim that Preston remains a Home to common sense Hometown values and hardworking independent citizens.

Preston is a wonderful place to visit and an absolutely Great place to call Home!

Thank you again for visiting this website.
